I have yet again not posted anything in a fair while. I have my reasons tho, the main one and quite possibly the only one, work has been very time consuming and I havent had a day off in 19 days! which means I havent been able to stay in bed in the morning for 19 mornings which does not have a good effect. Anyway tomorrow (thats a saturday) I am working and then I have sunday off!! which will quite frankly be almost be heaven like! anyway unless you want me to prattle on about work which Im sure you dont, unless u want to hear about tractors, carrots, potatoes and pigs, Im just gonna post a few photos I took a few weeks ago and then leave...

Exactly half of what timothy I has posted. Sorry for my complete lack of posting of late, it has to do with work and effort and my car...she's broken, the power steering pump bust and some bolts have heads which seem to be made from chocolate. So she's currently at the mechanics waiting paitently for him to have a moment in time to mend her. As for effort I couldnt be bothered giving any to write a top quality post as I knew it wouldn't be top quality and therefore I wasn't going to write. And as for work...well now....last week I worked a total of 54hrs...and its likely to increase as we enter the season of tractor driving :D in two months time I will have my own tractor :D it is a John Deere 6320 and in a short amount of time I will have taken a picture of it (hopefully) so all you people who can't tell the difference between a JD and a New Holland (or any other tractor) can see what it looks like. And anyway of late I have not really had enough time or energy to write for which I am deeply sorry.

As I have post half the number of posts as Tim I will celebrate this fact by posting something Tim wrote on his rather excellent blog which I found throughly entertaining to read:

I managed to black out at work today, Iv got a cold and I suddenly started to feel really dizzy and faint so I went to a tractor to get in the cab and warm up, so I opened the door and the nxt thing I knew I was on the floor next to the front tyre of the tractor....so yh it therefore didn't surprise me that they sent me home! However wot was surprising is how comfortable the concrete floor covered in mud was!

cos no one else does! They are obviously a bunch of pansy Londoner's who have never even seen a pair of wellies let alone worn em! Dispite being in charge of farming in this country they really don't have a clue about it! For example NVZs Nitrate Vunerable Zones, mean you can ownly put a certain amount of manure and slurry on your field, which is a bummer if you have a lot of cows. Also you have to store all your manure and slurry for 6 months before you can put it on your fields...6 months worth of slurry is ALOT. And the best time for putting manure and slurry on is when its frosty cos then you don't get stuck or anything. But no you can't do that, so you have to do it when its softer but then what, they fine you for putting mud onto the road! I know someone who they tried to fine because the spiral in the spreader was in the wrong way round so it was sending into the air and then down onto the floor instead of straight onto the floor...thats just petty! And they moan about not having enough money, that's partly to do with the government, but it would help if DEFRA didn't use a top class hotel to board their staff when they were dealing with F&M! I mean come on! Use some common sense....and hire some people who actually know summat bout farming....

Sorry bout that I needed a good rant...you're lucky I didn't get onto Pirbright!

Having spent a relatively sleepless nite in my car on the side of a welsh mountain I preceed to watch rally car and do a spot of marshalling...imagin the smile on my face when this happened...
and if you don't believe I was really there then check this out....Im the chap in the green tabard leaning into the door to make sure they're all still alive (which they were)
and if you stiull don't believe me then watch this video Im the one sprinting to the car. and if you listen carefully to the incar footage you can actually hear me speak saying summat like "are you alrite?" I would like to claim I took the photos...however I didn't...one of the media chaps got some brilliant ones tho, If I can find em anywhere I'll post em up.

Right I have now settled down into my new job (and if u can't work out wot it is then your stupid) and therefore I will now endevour to post at least once a week, hence the title. However I haven't all that much to say today...therefore this won't be a very long post....I will also try to take some more photos at somepoint in the near future, I've been too busy of late and just haven't had time...also the fact that its dark by the time I get home doesn't help.

apologise for the distinct lack of any posts wot so ever recently....u see I have started a job on a farm recently and when I get home all I wanna do is do nothing or sleep, which in turn means I don't really have time to take photos or write posts like this one...hopefully I will soon enough get used to the long days and early starts and all that and I'll be back to more like my normal self, and post lots of useless posts and stuff...however it is now 8:30 which means it is nearly my bedtime....yep u heard that right 8:30 my bedtime! I have to be in a field by 7:30 tomorrow so staying up late really isn't worth it! I will take the time to say tho....I havent crashed a tractor yet!!!

Right I'm actually gonna right summat, so this post could be short it also may be long...really depends if I can think of anything to rant about. In the mean time I'll tell you what I've been upto, Last friday I help Tim take photos at a Phatfish gig hence all the photos. I saturday I wasted £16 watching county and then ended up mourning the loss of the Webb Ellis trophy having spent the evening watching the paid off tv ref make biased decisions which cost us the world cup...not that Im biased or anything. On monday I helped some one from church lay the footings for a green house and then today I constructed for myself a settling tank for used veg oil. Which brings me very neatly onto a new topic...

Fuel prices!!! They are ridiculous!!!!! I've seen diesel for 103.9!!!! Thats crazy expensive, I know the price of oil is high cos America likes to invade and hence destablise any country with oil. But the huge amount of tax on it doesn't help. Even veg oil has gone up cos the Americans have started growing crows for bio-fuels instead of for food so food prices have shot up so veg oil has gone fro £1.50 for 3 litres to nearly £2. Something had better be done soon to lower the cost of fuel and wot not cos its getting stupid. (notice how I managed to blame nearly everything on the americans there!)

It has come to my attention that I haven't really posted much recently so Im going to try and rectify that issue. As I sit infront of my computer the soft sound of a cow munching grass difts in through the open window and at the same time Bono from U2 tells me that there's a place where the streets have no name. I actually have no idea what Im going to write, infact I havent even thought of a title yet so I think I might just try and do a Tim Harman and write about everything and yet nothing at all.

Finding a job is a funny thing...obviously people are needed to work and supply us with food, or teach our youngsters, or keep shelves stacked in the stores, or book us a hire car, deliever us a newspaper in the morning (I actually live too far away from any shop to get a newspaper delievered - but thats a different story for a whole different post), we need people to design our houses, or make machines do what they're meant to, or give pizzas to you in a resturant (never could spell that word) name after pizza, and of course some people work in jobs which aren't actually needed (like student liason officer - it was an actual post in my old college - again another rant for another post) However when it comes to finding a job...unless you want to do something really boring like "food wrapper and labeler" (it was actually in the job advertisements in the "Shropshire Star" today) - incidently no offense to all you food wrappers out there...u do a great job and I hav huge respect for what u do - anyway unless you want to do a boring job it is really hard to find one which you want to do! Take me for example Im trying to find a job on a farm (some of you may look on that as a boring job...but you probably are too busy eating the food on your table to thing where it comes from) however at the moment its harvest and all the farmers are very busy driving combine harvesters and foraging and stuff...which means they are too busy to take on anybody who needs training for example me! So in the mean time I am forced to apply to be lifeguard temporarily...so yeah jobs are harder to find than you might think...btw all the jobs I listed up there (apart from Student liason officer) are job done by different friends of mine...big up to all of you...you know who you are...and to you who work in supermarkets...how can you?!? do you not care bout the farmers and small shop keepers (thats not talking about shop keepers who are small but shop keepers who keep a small shop) anyway that discussion has already gone on on tims blog so I'll leave it there.

My little brother, I say little but you should see how much he eats, has just placed a soft toy which is in the shape of a frog (it is shaped rather well) on my head...Im not sure why he chose my head as a resting place for the said frog but it has now been deported and has just landed on my bed...now to stop any rumors which are about to spring up or which have already lept out of the ground *cough* BECCA! *cough* this frog merely stays at the foot of my bed and forms no part in my life other than my brother is obsessed with it and likes to call it "friggity frog" and will quite often charge past me in order to get to said frog.

Bloggers challenge - "Next Blog"

Having done this myself on The place that is (go there and comment) I thought I'd introduce it to you lot...

OK, I've tried this before and it may fall flat on it's face again, but I'll try and rope in the help of my fellow bloggers and we'll see how it goes. My aim is for bloggers to interact and basically to get people to actually read/comment on my blog!! And so I set out this challenge, to click the "Next Blog" button above whatever blog you're reading (presumably mine or yours) and keep clicking through the randomly generated blogs that appear when you do so to find ones that match the categories I set out. The categories are:

1. A blog written by a woman
2. A blog with a custom background
3. A blog from a foreign country (U.S. and U.K. don't count even if you don't live there!)

These shouldn't be too hard to find, I think I'll give it till the end of September for people to catch on. Right, first let me apolgise for the entire lack of posts recently. I havent really had much to say or write , and I didnt have many photo's to post either. So I jus kept quiet. Anyway Im here now and Im going to do a sort of picture book narration of whats bean goin on in my life of late.

A week and a bit ago I had a huge bonfire which got stupidly hot, however it was rather amusing at times...anyway I took this photo towards the end...when it was dieing down....I left the camera on a exposure of 8 secs and beat the fire with a stick to send up a good few sparks.After that I bought myself a car. A Peugeot 306 XRdt, its good...and it is NOT a boy racer's car (Iv been accused of buying a boy racer's car) however she a pretty good car, diesel (well veg oil as well :D), 1.9 turbo diesel to be precise. so yh she's an alright car....yet to decide on a name tho...however my brother likes the sound of "Dorris"...anythoughts?
Then I went back to Manchester for a day, to see friends, work on Lee's race car and watch the excellent Stockport County beat a team with a very long name (so Im not gonna write it) 1-0 (they jus won again 2nite...get in!) and then I went to a bbq in Bruntwood park, with some friends from college...and as u can see it was a complete bbq as it had Tomato Ketchup :)
Oh one slight thing about my car....its a bit of a fly killer...its literally eats them!! The flies in this picture were all collected on the way home from manchester...thats jus over an hours driving! But apart from that....its a friendly car...unless ur standing in between me and where Im wanting to go :pAnyway I'll try and post a little more frequently, and I'll try and take more photos...however unlike Tim I dont have 3 DSLR's and a whole host of different lenses to put on them! Oh and I dont hav Photoshop to help me cheat and add things which werent really there!!!! And no Im not jealous! Whateva gave u that impression?

My little brother had a water fight with some mates of his the other day...so naturally I took photos...I am a little concerned though that like Timothy I'm beginning to like the desaturate button a bit too much!

Electrical storm

I would love to say that the above picture was a firey sunset which preceded a massive thunderstorm...but that would be a lie. However it was a firey sunset I few days ago...not unsimilar to the sunset last night. The only difference was by the time the sun was going down last night a massive thunderstorm had already broke and then lasted for well over two hours. And of course I couldnt jus sit there and let it pass. So out came my camera and it took me a while to find the right settings, but when I go it right...well see for yourself! The last photo is my favourite for obvious reasons, the first two are of either sheet lightening or forked lightening just of the photo (my view was limited as I was taking the photos out of my window, I was not going to risk getting fried by standing on the garage roof!) The second to last photo is one of the previous photo but I used ye oldie desaturate button (as tim called it) and I cant decide which is better the desaturated or colour version...any thoughts? Anyway hope u like them let me know what you think...

Well I can finally see the hills out of my window, u see its been raining all day and hence the view has been obscured from my sight by endless sheets of rain. However its stopped now so I might head outside in a bit, I'll see. Anyway this would just happen to be my 300th post, I can't believe I've actually writen that many.
