Pale blue sky of winter...
Its the holidays...which is always good...tomorrow Im going shopping...which isn't always so good...but tomorrow should be alright... I haven't really been upto much and hence I haven'tgot much to say...so yeah...Harman is coming this weekend and I will prove to him again that not only am I the better cyclist but also Ermintrude is much the better bike! I mean look at his...thing...Izie he calls her...ha! And you know what else...after years of blasting mountain bike and calling them rubbish...he rode one this morning...and guess what...he loves it...espcially going downhill...now harman Iv been telling you that for years but have u listened? No. However I think we'll still agree that a road bike is deffinately the thing to ride on a road not a mtb! Oh and Harman are you aware of what happen to the Jezebel in the Bible? you see he's named his mtb Jezebel...

Where the streets have no name...
You ever thought how confusing that would be? "Yes I live on the street with the big oak...about five doors down from the other not so big oak" Yeah that could be confusing...anyway...
Today I got to stay in bed till 09:00!!!!! That may not seem much to you...but trust me when you usually have to be up by 07:00, 09:00 feels like heaven! Anyway tomorrow is the last day of college before half-term and I can't wait an entire week without college...Im happy just thinking about it...But anyway today was the first day in a long time that I have been able to cycle to college in a jumper and not even bother taking a coat with me...Yay! summer is nearly here! or it feels that way...
This halfterm Im getting braces fitted... :s not sure whether that is a good thing or not...but hey at least my teeth will be better at the end! Also this halfterm I will hopefully be going on a nice long bike ride with Mr Harman...you talked to the people at your end yet Harman? I also intend to go on a rally on Saturday....so yeah lots to do!

Pictures of my bike...with its new brooks saddle! Yes harman I have splashd out and bought for ermintrude the best type of saddle one can get.
Stories of my life...I have decided to tell stories of what I did when I was young...should be amusing (I will not repeat the story of me falling down the stairs)
A laugh at Mr Harman depending on todays rugby match scores...
Present happenings in my life...
Slinks' words of wisdom...
And future happenings of me.

Comfortably numb...
Its it possible for one to get to that state? I believe it is...oh dear I have a feeling this could be a deep, reflective, negative, late night post...not a good combination for what Im about to say...but hey it makes interesting reading...
So yeah comfortably numb...not only is it the title to a great Pink floyd song, I believe it is also a state one can get into, espcially as a christian. Its that state where you think everything is ok in your life and hence you dont really need to do much...When actually you're in danger of going nowhere...even possibly slipping backwards...
You're at that stage where you've got your life "sorted" you read you bible everyday, pray a bit, go to the college CU everyweek, go to church on a sunday, hang out with your christian mates...everything seems fine on the outside...yet on the inside you know its not really there...your quiet times dont give you what you know you can get out of them, you only read your bible for five minutes each day instead of the former 15. You only pray for a few minutes after reading your bible....you forget to pray for your friends...your mind wanders as you pray...you end up not praying...it all seems futile...your mind starts to dwell on things it really shouldn't...you begin to doubt the very existance of God...and yet you still think everything is ok. You continue walking in the same rut...the same routines...getting blinder and blinder and yet still thinking you know where you're going...Its a poor state to be in...I know...Im there...but hallelujah there's! a way out!
The Bible tells us that life aint going to be easy and that troubles and testing times are going to come upon us... infact Jesus himself tell us it wont be easy...he himself went through the most testing of times and yet managed to say "Not my will, but your's" Jesus persisted on God path first when the devil tempted him in the wilderness, then through the terible time of the crucifixition...and yet cos he persisted and kept his eyes on the Father in heaven he got through and now sits in glory at the side of the Father! Hallelujah!
The writer of Hebrews tells us "...since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run iwth endurance the race which is set before us, looking unto Yeshua, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God" (Heb 12:1-2)
Let me encourage you that there is a way out of being comfortably numb...to do exactly as Heb 12:1-2 tells us...to keep our eyes on Jesus and run the good race...for he has ran the race and won! and hallelujah for that!
Wow I feel better already!
