The division bell

Well this week has been pretty much as expected...boring college punctuated with John Mackay's itinery...I went back to college on Monday, which was fairly boring really...on Tuesday I went to college...surprise surprise...then I went round to Ethans which was really good...we had a great time of fellowship and praying...When I got home dad and John Mackay were back which meant the house felt busy...then on Wednesday I went to college again and in the afternoon I did 3 hours of chemistry revision. Then I did some maths revision in the evening...On thursday I went to college again and cos I can't cycle at the moment I walked half way home cos otherwise I would have to wait at the bus stop in front of college which is not fun...so instead I walked to parrswood and caught a bus from there...it was a lovely day...it felt really good to be outside in the sunshine and fresh air...then because of a lady called Diane Eager (she works for creation research) coming for the next month my little brother moved into my bedroom and will be staying in here on and off for about a month!! He's got enough cuddely toys to fill a zoo! So yeah that was thursday...Friday...hmm...friday was busy...I went to college...sat through Physics...which was remarkably funny...Me and Dani wound up Ian...then at lunch time Me, Dani and Helen went down pit stop for a while then we went over to bruntwood park where we played frisbe for about an hour...then I went to Maths which was unsurprisingly boring...After maths I met Dani and we walked down to Cheadle where she caught the bus home and I walked the remaining 4 miles home...which as it was all on tarmac took it out on my feet! At about 6:45 me and several other people set off to watch John Mackey debate Paul Marsdon in Warrington...I was an unsatisfactory night really as it wasn't a proper debate, instead it was more a presentation from the two and then questions from the audiance...not really how it should have been. But hey! Yester day I didn't do much...I went to identity in the evening, it was fun...we had a right laugh I haven't ever played a game of table football which was as funny as the one I played with Becky even tho she cheated most of the time...actually it was all of the time!!!! I now have to decide whether I should go on the St. Andrews Youth Weekend away in Llandudno...what do ppl think? yes? no? I have to make my mind up quick as its this friday!!!!!!
Today I went to church and then drove home and that's about it really as I can't tell you what's going to happen tomorrow as I haven't heard a prophetic word from God about it...

Back to boredom...

I sit at my computer contemplating the fact that I have to go back to college tomorrow....things look black...very black...but in a years time I will be sitting here saying only 4 more weeks of college! Yay!...but that's in a year...this is now and Iv got 4 weeks of college till study leave...then after 4 weeks of study leave I have 3 1/2 weeks of college where its gonna be empty and pretty rubbish really...all the second years will have gone and it will just be first years...most of my friends are second years...it'll be pants...but after those 11 1/2 weeks I'll 8 weeks of summer holidays where I get to do as I like...hopefulyl I'll find a job and earn as much money as possible...I intend to go on loads of walks, hopefully I'll be back on my bike so I'll be able to do loads of cycling...but thats in 11 1/2 weeks and Im stuck here in front of my computer with 9 exams in front of me...great... oh well...I just get on with life and put up with it all...

Bye...

Echoes...

Not much has been going on recently here...today I did a maths review in the morning, it wasn't that bad it was on the topic of: "The Circle" and it was about finding the equation of a circle and finding tangents to circles and stuff like that. This afternoon I carried a load of boxes out to the garage for dad...cleaned the car...as cars are always girls ours is called Maud...I didn't name it...my sister did...her old car was called Marvin...but yeah I cleaned Maud, then i came upstairs to my bed room and playtested a Stronghold mission I had made a while ago...after fixing a few faults I played the level through discovered it was pretty good and now I have sent it to a friend for him to playtest...then I drove my brother (in Maud) to Burnage High School where he is currently playing badminton. In about 10 minutes I shall climb back into Maud, who incidently is parked on the road infront of our humble abode, with my mother and I shall drive to Burnage High school and pick up my brother and drive him home...but that is in ten minutes. Currently I am sitting at my computer writing this blog post while listening to Echoes by Pink Floyd great band....great song not as good as U2 tho.

Tomorrow I intend to get up and do a maths past paper due in on Tuesday...then do a maths past paper due in on Monday. Then start a chemistry study exercise...then when I have done all that I will have done all my holiday homework and all I will have to do is revision...which there is plenty of...

On Thursday I don't know what Im doing quite possibly finishing that Chemistry Study Exercise...but apart from that who knows...cept God of course, cos God knows everything.

On Friday, now this is far ahead Im going driving with my driving instuctor at 12:30 for one hour. Then I will come home...iron a shirt and laze around for a bit...then I will get changed into sumthing clean and realatively cool...then I will get on the 41 bus and get of in Sale and then go for a Greek Meal with people from college which will be cool cos Iv never really eaten Greek food before and that is about all I know for my actions over the next 72 hours...hope you noseyness is satified now...cya!

Suicide on a bike...

I just found this:

It would appear to me like suicide on a bike....going up or down...so Harman you fancy it?

Life...

Well this weekend has been rather busy...we had some friends who live in Oxfordshire up for the weekend and although it was fun it was tiring...I've done some thing to my achiles tendon on my left leg and it really hurts which means I can't go cycling which is so fustrating as I was intending to do the snake pass these holidays now I don't think I'll be able to as even if it heals I wont really be fit enough as I was intending to train everyday and then do it at the end of the hols...bummer! Oh well I'll just have to do revision instead! Pray for me!

I have discovered another large climb that I have to do...it is in scotland and it is the highest piece of Tarmac in Britian climbing to 629 metres and it looks amazing. It climbs from sea level to 629metres in 5 miles and has loads of hairpin bends and exceedingly large gradients, so yeah a serious climb...as the sign below suggests!

Some photos

Here are some photos I took a while ago on rallies and meant to post but never did!

A photo or two of where we walked...

They were both taken with my 1.3Mpixel camera phone...hence the pants quality

A brisk walk and a strong wind...

Today I went walking...I know you're probs all thinking "well you walk everyday duh!" I mean I went on a hike in some hills...Me and some other people went to edale and walked to the top of Mam Tor and along the ridge past Hollins Cross and upto Loose Hill Pike and then down into Hope where we caught the train back to Manchester...it was a pleasant day...quite windy tho at times it was fun you could jump forward and end up going backwards! All in all it was quite an easy walk considering it was the first proper walk I have done in about 4 months a good starter for bigger things to come...

Tomorrow I intend to sleep a bit...then get up, get on my bike and ride about 25/30miles with a big hill in the middle to see how good I am on the old hills...Then I intend to come home and do a load of revision cos Iv got 2 maths modules, 3 chemistry modules, 1 physics module and 1 electronics module to learn in about 1 month! Fun fun fun...

Anyway thats all for now...Im about to go to sleep...bye!!!

This is goodbye...

Hello everyone...Don't worry this is not my last blog post the title is just a lyric from a song Im listening to...

Hows everyone? Im ok...well very confused...my life doesn't make sense at the moment...which is why God is in control!! Cos other wise I would be in a massive mess...as it is Im just about keeping going...sum how...not quite sure...Last night I couldn't sleep so I just read my bible for getting on for about 1 hour and after that I went straight to sleep it was great! Today I went to church...it was too bad...infact some of it was quite good...I drove there which was fun and I didn't do anything dangerous!

Erm I messed around this afternoon and went on the bike rollers (basically a tread mill for a bike) and I got up to 41mph!!!! Yeah! it was fun! I intend to go out on my bike as much as possible these holidays and sumtime during them ride over the Snake Pass!!! That will be so much fun! I fully intend to set a new fastest speed for myself...My fastest so far is 39.8MPH so a big hill...the wind in the right direction and viola I reckon on the snake pass I could get up to 50MPH if I was pushing it, possibly even more...my orthodonist told me off a hill outside Skipton where you can go seriously fast as well so you never know this summer could see a series of fastest speeds...oh I also know of several hills about 20miles away where I could set a pretty good speed so Harman that 46MPH fastest speed of yours might not last for long...Having said that I don't always make the most use of big hills...Im move of an average speed rider where I will just ride at about 20mph for long distances but hey I could do that and go fast down hills as well...

Anyway that's all for now...I think I might see if I can get to sleep tonight within 3 hours last night it took me 4 hours to get to sleep...I wasn't impressed...

Another brick in the wall

That's what we are in Tony Blair's country, just another brick in the wall...Yet to God we're all different, all special and that's great...it cheers me up just thinking about it yay!

We broke up for the easter holidays today which is really good cos the last 3-4 weeks have been really tiring and stressful...We had the mission week at college which was really good, really encouraging but at the same time I was tired and stressed going into it and by halfway through I didn't think I would be able to get through the rest of the week...but God really helped me and some how I managed...even if for sum random reason I was close to tears on Thursday night (Men don't cry I know...but I was close!) But yeah it was really encouraging to see God work in the college and there was a real sense of unity between the CU which I hadn't ever felt before...the prayer breakfasts were great...Helen you make great pancakes! (you're bacon wasn't all that bad either) but yeah Mission Week was great and really encouraging to see God working in and through everyone in the CU it was cool.

Then this week was just long and boring it was the last week of term and everyone was tired...I must admit I was very impatient with some people and if Iv offended anyone Im very sorry... but yeah Im glad its now the holidays...I intend to get a load of sleep then start revising...

Oh yeah next wednesday we're all going for a hike...by all I mean most of the CU (helen you've got to come!) We're going to walk up Mam Tor in Derbyshire then along the ridge to Hope it'll be great! Its so beautiful in that part of the world and yet it reminds you of how powerful God is and just how much we much we should fear him (in a healthy way) cos after all the hills and mountains are result of man's actions and God judgement on the mankind and the world...so yeah Im really looking forward to Wednesday it'll be cool!

I don't think anything else of note has happened/is happening/will happen in my life in the near past, present or future so I'll go now cos I need a shower and I need to go to bed....

Sam!

(BTW Harman where are you? I haven't heard from you in ages!)

The thing I want the most is all them acres of land...

Well hello...sorry about the vast void of time between my last post and this...since the last post things have happened...shocking statement I know...for a start I have a girlfriend! Well I don't actually I just wanted to break the ice...I mean me have a girlfriend...come on! That's really likely isn't it! Im quite happy being single...really I am...anyway something which really did happen is that my mum went into hospital with pneumonia...and that really did happen...she went in on friday and came out today...yay! But yeah while she was away I cooked and cleaned...quite a lot actually...it can be quite hard espcially if you're trying to do well at college at the same time...

On saturday I played in a football tournament...with Jason Ramsey....we came second...not bad when you consider last year we came last! but yeah I scored which is a miracle in itself...but we lost on penatlies in the final...sniff...oh well what the heck!

In other news...I will go to possibly my last CU (Christian Union) this friday...as one of the people chosen to be a leader is a girl and Paul makes it very clear in 1 Tim 2 that if there are men to lead the believers in the church then they should do so...but although there were three willing lads the current leaders have chosen a lad and a girl...and the current leaders do their last CU this firday so I will go to that then friday lunch times will be empty for me...and before anyone screams at me "THE CU ISN'T A CHURCH!!!!!!" ask yourself what is a Church then ask yourself what does the bible call what I call a church...then compare that with the CU and hey presto there's very little difference...in essance (when you take out all the man made complications, like church membership, and doctrinal statements etc) they're both a group of believers getting together to praise and thank God, to encourage each other, build each other up, pray, read God's word and witness to the world around them...so yeah make your own decisions on that one but that is why (in a nutshell) I wont be going to the CU after easter...(easter happening to be a pagan festival (which included offering children to the god of fertility) which has had the catholic church dump something Christian, which we celebrate when we have communion anyway, on it...) as you may have guessed Im in a "Let's prove everything wrong" mood its fun you should all join in...

Sorry bout the title by the way...I couldn't think of a title so I named it after a line from the song I was listening to...which happens to be combine harvester by The Wurzels

Thats all from me for now...bye!
